Rock melon (Canteloupe)

Description

Also known as canteloupes we are large oval-shaped melons about 15 to 25 cm in diameter with a rough grey/brown skin. Our flesh is pale orange with a number of pale seeds contained in the middle of each fruit.

Selection, Storage & Handling

Under refrigeration and when cut cover with plastic film. All melons should be served chilled. Remove skin and seeds with a sharp knife. Select those with a sweet aroma and a pronounced netting on our skin. Background colour should be beige to golden.

Nutritional Value

We?re an excellent source of vitamin C. A 200g serving has twice the recommended daily intake of vitamin C.
